Consultant Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon. Secretary and Founder Member, British Obesity Surgery Society.

Royal College of Surgeons Representative National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) Obesity Guidelines 2005-6. Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery, University of Liverpool.

Mr Kerrigan practices at Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral. He is the Medical Director of Gravitas.

Mr Mayilone Arumugasamy MCh, FRCSI

Consultant Laparoscopic Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon. Qualified Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Medal in Surgery. FRCSI 1997. Masters in Surgery (RCSI/NUI) Beaumont 2001. Completed Irish Higher Surgical Training with Intercollegiate specialty in Upper GI surgery. Worked as Consultant Upper GI Surgeon in Cork. Extensive experience in keyhole oesophago-gastric surgery. Completed Bariatric fellowship with Mr Kerrigan in Liverpool 2008. Member of AUGIS, ALSGBI and EAES.

Dr. David Hourihan MB, FCARCSI, DIBICM.

Graduated University College Cork in 1994. Completed Specialist Training in Anaesthesia in 2006, having worked in all of the major teaching hospitals in Dublin. Experienced and qualified to care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Appointed as Clinical Lecturer in Anaesthesia, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (2006-08).

Mr Ken Clare

Our Bariatric Specialist Nurse Ken had bypass surgery in 2002. He is the founder of WLSinfo, the UK's leading obesity patient support charity. He lectures frequently on obesity surgery and patient support.

Mrs Lesley Canning

As bariatric patient coordinator, Lesley is the main contact point for our service. She has worked with both NHS and private bariatric services. Lesley will be happy to answer any of your queries - phone her on 1-800-932912.

Jayne Brocklehurst

MSc BSc(Hons) RD Our Bariatric Specialist Nurse Dietitian Jayne qualified in 2001. She has specialised in upper GI surgery for the past 3 years and recently presented at the world obesity surgery conference.

Jan Byrne

Jan is the admin team member based in Dublin. She lived in the Netherlands for 7 years and then moved to Ireland in 1988 and has worked as a medical secretary in the private sector in Dublin for over 12 years.

Dr Mary Mcreery

Consultant Clinical Nutritionist and Dietitian
PhD: Dip Diet and Nutr: Dip Counselling. MINDI

Based at the Blackrock Clinic in Dublin, Mary is a highly experienced consultant clinical nutritionist and dietitian. All new Gravitas patients will see Mary for their initial dietary consultation, including full diet and lifestyle history, pre surgical advice and post surgical advice. Responsible for setting up the clinical nutrition and dietetic service at the Blackrock Clinic in 1985, Mary is a former consultant nutritionist to the Irish Olympic team and to the Irish rugby team.
