Revisional (Re-do) Surgery

Re-do surgery is performed when bariatric surgery goes wrong or proves ineffective.

It is the most complex kind of bariatric surgery and (compared with first-time surgery) carries about double the risk of major postoperative complications and death.

Re-do surgery should only be carried out in highly specialised and experienced units. Within the Gravitas network, we have access to some of the most highly trained and experienced bariatric surgeons in the UK.

Our team can offer high quality advice on how best to tackle revisional surgery, whether it is for treatment of complications or conversion of older types of surgery to banding, bypass or DS.
